The OTR 1814 is a 4-Channel Fiber / SDI transmitter and receiver combined in a single self contained package. It is a convenient and cost-effective solution to overcome the restrictions involved with the distribution of uncompressed, high bandwidth, broadcast quality video signals over long distances. It fits within 2RU height and requires no cooling.

Each OTR 1814 transceiver has two independent transmitter and receiver channels, which provide an effective solution for any 3G-SDI signal up to 2k DCI. Operation of the receivers and transmitters are automatic. For transmission, the 3G-SDI video format is automatically detected, reclocked and then transmitted over the fiber TX connection. For reception, the optical SDI video input signal on the RX connection is automatically detected, reclocked and provided on the 3G-SDI output.

The OTR 1814 supports 3G/1.5G/SD-SDI video standards. It can be pre-assembled with a Single-mode 1310 nm or Multi-mode SFP. CWDM SFPs support significantly longer optical distances and must be ordered separately with the required operating wavelength. Like all yellobrik modules, it is compatible with the RFR 1200 rack frame, which provides power redundancy.
