Foundation of LYNX Technik AG

It all started in a meeting room let by friends from Logic TV. Every afternoon all the kit had to be packed away so they could use it for meetings.
As we quickly iterated between prototypes LYNX Technik AG was established with the goal of developing state-of-the-art, modular solutions for professional broadcast and media technology.
The company’s founders recognized the growing need for innovative and high-quality tools to streamline signal processing and transmission in the media industry. From the very beginning, LYNX Technik built its reputation on precision engineering and exceptional customer service.

Series 5000 cards and first IBC show!

Encouraged by early success of the Series 5000 card system with Austrian and Russian broadcasters LYNX Technik sets out to present itself to the European market at the 2003 IBC show. The newcomer generated a lot of interest with the community and forged relationships that lasted to this day.

Series 3000 and first NAB show

Never afraid to innovate, the Series 3000 was conceived as an alternative to cumbersome 19inch rack installations with singular use case. The modular system offered a more nuclear approach than other alternatives available at the time to build custom racks without the need of excessive ESD protection when adding or swapping a module. The variety of connectors offered a signal density only available in high end product lines of the time – all while fitting in the palm of a hand.

Launch of the yellobrik product line.

There were lots of small interface “brick” products available back then, and we looked at them all. After carefully studying the pro’s and con’s, we started the development of a new family of bricks, different and more feature rich than the rest.
The yellobrik range quickly became a cornerstone of the LYNX Technik portfolio. Their robust design and plug-and-play functionality made it an ideal choice for a variety of applications, from small-scale productions to large broadcast facilities.

Launch of the greenMachine

In 2016, LYNX Technik AG introduced the greenMachine, a groundbreaking platform for real-time AV signal processing. Unlike traditional hardware solutions, greenMachine was designed to be software-defined, allowing users to customize and reconfigure their processing needs through apps.

This approach provided unparalleled versatility and future-proofing for broadcasters and content creators.

Onward and upward

As of 2025, LYNX Technik AG continues to lead the way in broadcast and media technology, with a renewed focus on sustainability and cutting-edge innovation.
With a new management team in place putting quality and customer requirements at the heart of its product design LYNX Technik is working on its next chapter.
