LYNX Technik Expands the PVD 1400 Frame Synchronizer with Increased Video and Audio Delay Capabilities
We are pleased to announce a significant enhancement to the PVD 1400 Frame Synchronizer and Delay Processor. The latest firmware update dramatically increases the maximum video and audio delay for HD video formats, providing broadcasters and live production professionals with greater flexibility for signal alignment, synchronization, and timing management.
With this update, the PVD 1400 now supports video delays of up to 5 seconds (256 frames) for HD 1080 i/p formats and up to 1,2 second (64 frames) for 4K/UHD signals. These increased maximum delay capabilities make the PVD 1400 an even more powerful tool to compensate latency introduced by graphics systems, wireless cameras, remote production and encoding equipment. It is an ideal solution to fiber and satellite path matching, primary/backup feed alignment and multi-language event coverage. Video and Audio can be synchronized across multiple displays or LED walls where processing latency differs between screens in Broadcast studios, Corporate events, Houses of worship and Live entertainment venues.
In addition to the enhanced video delay functionality, the maximum audio delay has also been increased to 20 seconds for HD and 10 seconds for 4K/UHD video formats.
The increased AV delay capacity addresses a growing demand in modern broadcast environments where signals often traverse multiple processing stages, networks, and production systems. By combining frame synchronization and extended AV delay capabilities in a compact solution, the PVD 1400 simplifies system design while maintaining broadcast-quality performance.
The new delay features are available through a free firmware update and can be configured using the latest versions of LYNX Technik’s yelloGUI and LynxCentraal control software platforms.
