4-Channel 3G-SDI to Fiber Transmitter
The OTX 5840 is a 4-Channel 3G-SDI to Fiber converter with a signal router. It is suitable for 3G-SDI/ASI-DVB video signals up to 1080p60.
Each channel has automatic input clock rate and signal presence detection with optional signal reclocking.
The module provides 4x 3G-SDI fiber outputs and 2x 3G-SDI outputs which can be mapped using the integrated 4×6 signal router. In non-reclocked mode the module will transparently pass any data between 15Mbit/s and 3Gbit/s.
Chose from 18 wavelengths for CWDM applications, or select all 1310nm wavelengths for non CWDM applications.
Up to 10 OTX 5840 modules, (40 fiber Tx) can be placed in a standard 2RU Lynx Rack Frame. The fiber SFPs are secured to a connector board allowing for the main card to be removed or swapped without affecting the rear connections.
This module is ideally suited for demanding digital multi-format broadcast applications. It is fully compatible with Lynx Centraal for remote control, status monitoring and error reporting.
NOTE: If installed on an RFR 5018 chassis please make sure a rack controller (RCT 5023 G) is present in the rack.
