2-Channel 3G-SDI to Fiber Transceiver
The OTR 5840 is a 2-Channel 3G-SDI to Fiber transceiver with router suitable for SDI/ASI-DVB video up to 1080p60. Each channel has automatic input clock rate and signal presence detection with optional reclocking.
The two input channels can be switched between optical or electrical inputs. In non-reclocked mode the module will transparently pass any data between 15Mbit/s and 3Gbit/s. Support for ASI/DVB and SMPTE 310 signals is available.
Select from 18 transmitter wavelengths for CWDM applications, or select dual 1310nm transmitter wavelengths for non CWDM applications.
An integral 4×4 signal router is available for custom I/O channel mapping.
Up to 10 modules (20 fiber Rx and 20 Tx) are supported in a standard 2RU Lynx rack frame. The fiber SFPs are secured to a connector board allowing for the main card to be removed or swapped without affecting the rear connections.
This module is ideally suited for demanding digital multi-format broadcast applications. It is fully compatible with Lynx Centraal for remote control, status monitoring and error reporting.
NOTE: When installed in an RFR 5018 chassis please make sure a rack controller (RCT 5023 G) is present in the rack.
