4-Channel 3G-SDI to Fiber Transceiver
The OBD 1814 is a 4-Channel bi-directional Fiber to 3G-SDI transmitter and receiver which uses two single fiber links supplied in a compact self contained package. It conveniently fit within 2RU height and is cost-effective solution to address the restrictions involved with the distribution of uncompressed broadcast quality video signals over long distances.
The kit includes 2 modules with their power supplies, Type A and Type B which work together in a WDM closed loop environment.
Each module has two 3G-SDI input and output. It uses a pair of Simplex (single fiber) links between the two devices. Each channel is fully independent and can support different standards and formats of SDI video. The modules auto-detect and re-clock any 3G/1.5G-SDI source prior to conversion. The modules are fully compatible with 3G Level A and Level B formats.
Note: This system used WDM optical multiplexing and should only be used in point to point applications. This solution cannot be integrated into a CWDM multiplexed system.
As with all yellobrik modules, it is compatible with the RFR 1200 rack frame, which provides power redundancy.
